a Plethora of resources

When libraries are filled with quality books and resources, teachers are able to easily access these items to either use in their classroom or use to benefit their classroom.

"They can supply educators with new resources and tools they might not be aware of or otherwise have access to" (Meyer, 2017).

Integrate diverse texts in teaching

School librarians also collaborate with classroom teachers to encourage teachers to incorporate a variety of texts over multiple genres in their classrooms.

A visual representation that teachers could use to make sure they are covering a variety of genres is a circular genre chart.

"We must realize that the decision to expose our students to books from many different genres can be significant factor in helping them discover that there may, in fact, be a kind of book that really lights their fire" (Layne, 2009, p. 59).
